HOW IT WORKS

Aperisys maintains an active/passive cluster of 2 servers. One server actively handles requests while the other stands by. Every 5 minutes, the web content from the active server is synchronized with the passive server, ensuring the latest version of your web site is always available. Any MySQL databases you have are replicated in real time.

If the primary server should fail, the passive server will take over. This unique approach allows us to easily deliver on our promise of 99.9% uptime.

Web (HTTP), MySQL (read only), DNS (name resolution), incoming e-mail (backup MX spool) and outgoing e-mail (via SMTP) are highly available services offered by Aperisys. Even in the event of total server failure, we can ensure your database driven web site stays up, incoming e-mail messages are captured and your ability to send e-mail is preserved.
